Weifang Environmental Engineering Vocational College is the only college in Shandong Province approved by the Shandong Provincial People's Government to serve the construction of ecological civilization and green development as the main direction of running schools. The college is located at No. 217, Xueyuanzhong Street, Changyi City, Shandong Province. It is adjacent to the Bohai Sea in the north and the Weihe River in the east. It is located in the throat area where the "five zones" such as the Yellow River Delta High-Efficiency Ecological Economic Zone, the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone, and the Weifang National Vocational Education Innovation and Development Experimental Zone are superimposed, connecting the Shandong Peninsula and the inland of Shandong. The Jiqing High-speed Railway, Weilai High-speed Railway, Weiyan High-speed Railway, Jiqing Expressway, Weilai Expressway, and Rongwu Expressway pass through Changyi from north to south. The transportation is very convenient and the industrial economy is developed. It has the regional advantages of being based in Weifang, radiating the whole province, facing the whole country, and looking at the world. The college covers an area of more than 850 acres and has invested 1.5 billion yuan to build 23 buildings including teaching buildings, dormitory buildings, training buildings, libraries, and restaurants. The construction area is 280,000 square meters, which can meet the study and life of more than 10,000 students. All buildings in the college are equipped with central air-conditioning systems, creating a comfortable environment for teachers and students that is warm in winter and cool in summer. The college has planned a smart campus in advance according to the 5G standard, laid a 10G network channel into the floor, a 1G network channel into the desktop, and full coverage of high-speed wireless networks, realizing the integration of the three networks of campus Internet, campus monitoring network, and campus radio and television network. The college has built six secondary colleges based on intelligent manufacturing, supported by information technology, featuring environmental protection, guaranteed by health and wellness, expanded by culture and art, and highlighting the training of national defense reserve talents. It has opened 28 majors such as environmental monitoring technology, computer application technology, and calligraphy and painting art. The college currently has 335 full-time full-time teachers, including 15 doctors, 91 associate senior titles or above, 172 dual-qualified teachers, and 259 postgraduates. It has introduced 3 national art masters full-time, more than 70 part-time experts and senior engineers, and more than 5,000 students. The college co-established the Weifang Eco-Environmental Materials and Technology Research Institute with the team of Academician He Hong from the Ecological and Environmental Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and co-established a number of high-tech research centers such as the Carbon Energy New Energy Research Institute with Dr. Kang Peng from Stanford University, and co-established a student employment base with 52 well-known domestic enterprises such as Weichai Group, Yuchai Group, BAIC Group, and Ningxia Sharing Group.
