Weifang Nursing Vocational College is a full-time general college established in 2011 with the approval of the Shandong Provincial Government. It is composed of two national key schools, the former Shandong Yidu Health School and the former Weifang Health School. The predecessors of the two health schools began in 1885, the Qingzhou Medical School and 1889, the Ledaoyuan Medical School, which are the source and origin of modern medical education in Shandong.
