Wuhan Electric Power Vocational and Technical College (hereinafter referred to as "the school") is a national public full-time higher vocational college, sponsored by State Grid Hubei Electric Power Co., Ltd. The school was founded in 1953. In 1958, it was upgraded to Wuhan Electric Power College. In 1960, Hubei Electric Power College was planned. In 1962, it was renamed Wuhan Electric Power School. In 1998, it merged with Hubei Electric Power Technical School. In 2002, it was upgraded to Wuhan Electric Power Vocational and Technical College. In 2012, State Grid Hubei Electric Power Company established the State Grid Hubei Electric Power Company Technical Training Center based on the school. At present, the school implements the "two brands and one team" management model. The school currently has 10 majors, including power plants and power systems, power supply and utilization technology, power system automation technology, power generation operation technology, thermal power engineering technology, thermal automation technology, wind power engineering technology, mechatronics technology, hydropower station electromechanical equipment and automation, and engineering measurement technology.
