[School Profile] Xi'an Automobile Vocational University is approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is the only provincial private full-time vocational undergraduate college named after an automobile in Shaanxi Province. The school is located in the historical and cultural city of Xi'an. [School History] The school was founded in 1987, formerly known as Xiying Road Motorcycle Repair Technical School. In April 2004, it was approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education to become a full-time higher vocational college and was renamed Xi'an Vocational College of Automotive Technology. In December 2018, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and upgraded to an undergraduate-level vocational college. In May 2019, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and renamed Xi'an Automobile Vocational University. It is one of the first 15 undergraduate-level vocational education pilot universities in the country. [School Conditions] The school has two campuses, Lintong and Bailuyuan, with a total area of 1,726 acres and a building area of 553,800 square meters. Lintong campus is located at the foot of Lishan Mountain and on the shore of Weishui River. Bailuyuan campus is surrounded by Qinling Mountains in the south and Bahe River in the north.
