Xi'an Peihua University is a full-time private undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, focusing on undergraduate education and cultivating high-quality applied talents. It is the first private undergraduate university in western China to be granted the right to confer bachelor's degrees. The school is located in the ancient capital of Xi'an, the birthplace of Chinese civilization. It has a long history of running schools and profound cultural accumulation. It has the inheritance and characteristics of women's education and vocational education. Its predecessor can be traced back to 1928, when it was organized by the Shaanxi Women's Vocational Education Promotion Association and approved by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education as the "Xi'an First Women's Civilian Vocational School". In 1984, with the approval of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and the filing of the State Education Commission, the famous educator Mr. Jiang Weizhi established the "Xi'an Peihua Women's University", the first ordinary university in New China that specifically recruits female students and conducts women's education, on the basis of restoring the original "Peihua Women's Vocational School". In 2003, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed Xi'an Peihua College (both men and women). In 2007, it became the first private college in the west to obtain the right to confer bachelor's degrees. In 2013, it successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation of the Ministry of Education. In 2014, it was approved as the first batch of application-oriented construction pilot colleges in Shaanxi Province. In 2017, it was included in the construction plan of new master's degree-granting institutions in Shaanxi Province. In 2018, it was approved as a "first-class college" construction unit in Shaanxi Province. In 2023, it passed the undergraduate education and teaching review and evaluation of the Ministry of Education. There are all-rubber standard stadiums, lighted basketball courts, badminton courts, tennis courts and other sports venues on campus. There is a comprehensive hospital-Xi'an Peihua College Hospital, and it has affiliated hospitals such as Shaanxi Provincial Fifth People's Hospital, Xi'an Fifth People's Hospital, Pan Naxi International Hospital, Xi'an Tangcheng Hospital, and Haixiang Eye Hospital. The construction of disciplines and majors has achieved remarkable results. The school is one of the first pilot colleges for transformation and development in Shaanxi Province, and the initiator of the National Private College Sports Alliance, the Future University Alliance, and the Applied Course Construction Alliance.
