Xiamen Huatian International Vocational and Technical College (hereinafter referred to as "the school") is located in Xiamen, a beautiful and warm garden city on the sea. The school was founded in 2002 and was officially established in February 2004 with the approval of the Fujian Provincial Department of Education and the filing of the Ministry of Education. It is a full-time college with unified enrollment for the national college entrance examination. The school is a comprehensive higher vocational college with engineering as its feature and practical professional skills education. In September 2006, it moved to the Cultural and Educational Park in Xiang'an District, Xiamen; in December 2009, it passed the first round of talent training work evaluation of higher vocational colleges; in October 2016, it passed the second round of talent training work evaluation of higher vocational colleges with excellent results. The school covers an area of 524 acres and currently has more than 9,000 full-time students. The school's majors (groups) are connected with Xiamen's top ten 100 billion industrial chains. There are 32 majors (groups), distributed in 8 secondary colleges including the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Information Technology, the School of Education and Art, the School of Economics and Management, and the Maritime Silk Road Cooking College (including three school-enterprise cooperation colleges such as the School of Aviation and Tourism, the School of Health Management, and the Overseas College). There are also two public basic course teaching departments, the School of Marxism and the Basic Department. The school adheres to the school motto of "Sincerity and Kindness, Truth and Beauty", adheres to the school-running philosophy of "people-oriented, moral and technical, industry-university integration, international vision, and win-win model", and takes the path of connotation-based development with distinctive characteristics. The school is the first batch of Xiamen-Taiwan vocational education cooperation and exchange demonstration schools, YBC college student entrepreneurship education base, China Logistics Society industry-university-research base, sandbox simulation business training demonstration center, Fujian Province College Graduate Entrepreneurship Training Base, Xiamen City "Rule of Law" Demonstration School, Xiamen City "5A-level Safe Campus", Xiamen City "Women Civilization Post", Xiamen Federation of Trade Unions "Four-Star Workers' Home", etc. The school is based in Xiamen and faces Fujian to help cross-strait integration.
