Loudi Xiaoxiang Vocational College is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government, registered with the Ministry of Education, and included in the national unified enrollment plan. It is an outstanding provincial private higher vocational college and a spiritual civilization unit. The school originated in 1989 and was established solely by Dahan Holding Group, one of the top 500 Chinese enterprises, in 2018. It is a higher vocational college that cultivates high-quality technical and skilled professionals. The school covers an area of 548 acres, with a total construction area of 186,000 square meters. It currently has 540 faculty members, including 18 professors, 57 associate professors, 186 dual-qualified teachers, 10 doctoral students, and 82 master students. There are more than 10,000 students enrolled in the school. It has the only municipal academician expert service station among private vocational colleges in the province. In recent years, teachers and students have participated in provincial and municipal skill competitions and won 112 awards, including more than 20 first prizes; they have published 346 papers and 49 monographs and textbooks. There are five secondary branches and 31 majors: School of Information Engineering, School of Automotive Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Preschool Education and Military Sports, School of Business, and School of Applied Education. The Automotive Engineering Technology Professional Cluster Project is a provincial first-class characteristic professional cluster cultivation project.
