Ningxia University Xinhua College is a full-time general undergraduate college organized by Ningxia University in accordance with the new mechanism and new model. It was established in March 2002 with the approval of the Autonomous Region People's Government and confirmed by the Ministry of Education in January 2004. The college is located in Yinchuan, a beautiful historical and cultural city on the Great Wall, adjacent to Ningxia University. The college covers an area of 252 acres, and the planned area of the new campus is 877.17 acres. It recruits students from 19 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government, and currently has 7,260 full-time undergraduate students. The college has maintained a 100% enrollment rate for five consecutive years, and has trained 15 classes of 18,939 qualified graduates for the society. The college currently has 7 categories, including literature, engineering, science, management, law, education, and art, and 30 undergraduate majors. There are 4 key disciplines at the college level, 1 discipline was selected as the dominant and characteristic discipline of the autonomous region's "13th Five-Year Plan", 6 autonomous region-level characteristic majors, 20 majors were approved by the Ministry of Education for industry-university cooperation and collaborative education projects, 11 majors were selected as provincial first-class undergraduate major construction points of the "Double 10,000 Plan" for first-class undergraduate majors, 3 majors (groups) were selected as key majors of the autonomous region's "13th Five-Year Plan", and 5 majors were selected as demonstration majors for the integration of industry and education in the autonomous region. The college has always been unwavering in its pursuit of cultivating a group of talents with good foundation, strong ability, high quality, responsibility, potential and development for the society, and will run "care" and "responsibility" throughout the whole process of talent training. In 2016, the college was identified as an applied overall transformation university by the Autonomous Region Education Department, joined the "National Applied Course Construction Alliance", built a "moral education + intellectual education + physical education + aesthetic education + labor education" curriculum system, and established "four major course platforms" and "seven major course groups". In the "Analysis Report on the National Teaching Competition for Teachers in Ordinary Colleges and Universities" released by the China Higher Education Society in 2020, the college ranked 25th among the 428 private and independent colleges in the country, ranked first among private and independent colleges in Ningxia, and ranked fourth among undergraduate colleges and universities in Ningxia.
