Xinzhou Vocational and Technical College is a full-time comprehensive public higher vocational college approved by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. The college is located at No. 1 College Street, Xinzhou Economic Development Zone, covering an area of 404 acres and a building area of about 150,000 square meters. The total value of the current teaching and scientific research equipment assets is 53.1364 million yuan. The library currently has 530,473 paper books and 275,000 electronic books. The college currently has 493 faculty and staff, including 383 full-time teachers; 91 senior professional titles, 147 intermediate professional titles; 186 dual-qualified teachers; 1 doctor, 178 masters; 132 industry mentors. The college currently has 9,997 students. The enrollment types are divided into ordinary college entrance examination, corresponding enrollment, higher vocational single enrollment, and "three-two" segmentation. Enrollment is open to 15 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country, and the number and quality of students are steadily improving. The rate of graduates obtaining "double certificates" is above 93%, and the employment rate is above 90%, providing strong talent support for serving local economic development. Professional Characteristics The college offers 28 higher vocational majors. It has formed a professional group of primary medical care and full-life cycle nursing and health care with nursing and medicine as the main focus; a professional group of special manufacturing with new energy, new materials, and modern equipment manufacturing as the main focus; a professional group of cultural and artistic majors with cultural creativity, inheritance and protection of traditional culture as the main focus; and four major professional groups of modern information technology that connects to Shanxi's digital transformation, such as cloud computing, big data, and network technology. There are 6 key and backbone majors of the central finance and Shanxi Province, and the existing professional groups have distinctive brand characteristics. 3. Funding policy National funding: National scholarship of 8,000 yuan, inspirational scholarship of 5,000 yuan, and grants of 2,600-4,000 yuan, which are selected once a year. College funding: The college divides students from poor families into three categories: 1,000 yuan, 800 yuan, and 500 yuan. 4. Internship and employment The college adheres to the school-running model of "industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation". 8 provincial-level and above training bases, 22 on-campus training bases, and 176 training rooms have been built.
