The Southwest University Xita College is jointly established by Southwest University of China, the University of Western Australia and the University of Tasmania. It is the first undergraduate Sino-foreign cooperatively-run institution approved by the Ministry of Education in accordance with the Regulations on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education and its implementation measures (license number: MOE50AUA02DNR20161736N).
