Xuchang Electric Vocational College is a multidisciplinary, full-time public general higher vocational college sponsored by the Xuchang Municipal People's Government, which has been registered by the Ministry of Education, approved by the Henan Provincial People's Government in 2011, and sponsored by the Xuchang Municipal People's Government. The college implements a multi-level school-running system, integrating four major functions: higher vocational education, technical education, TV university open education, and social training. The school is located in Xuchang City, Henan Province, the former capital of the Han and Wei dynasties. Xuchang is located in the hinterland of the Central Plains. Xuchang has a profound Three Kingdoms cultural heritage, unique charm of Jun porcelain art, superior geographical location, rapid economic development, and beautiful urban environment. It has successively won the titles of National Excellent Tourist City, National Garden City, National Forest City, National Health City, China's Flower and Tree Capital, and China's Top Ten Livable Cities. The college is located in the Xuchang Urban-Rural Integration Demonstration Zone (the intersection of Weiwen Road and Yongchang Avenue), facing the College River to the east and the Central Plains Electric Valley, an industrial cluster of power equipment manufacturing, to the north. It has convenient transportation, beautiful environment, and pleasant scenery. The total planned area is 990 mu, the school building area is 325,000 square meters, and the teaching building, laboratory building, library and other infrastructure are complete, with a total investment of nearly 1 billion yuan. There are nearly 100 laboratories (training) rooms, the total value of instruments and equipment is about 500 million yuan, and the library has 515,000 books, with excellent school conditions. Xuchang Electric Vocational College currently offers 54 majors including electrical automation technology, mechatronics technology, power supply and utilization technology, numerical control technology, computer application technology, computer network technology, e-commerce technology, power system relay protection and automation technology, mold design and manufacturing, material forming and control technology, electromechanical equipment maintenance and management, automobile inspection and maintenance technology, new energy vehicle technology, economic information management, engineering cost, accounting, tourism management, advertising design and production, broadcasting and hosting, and flight attendants. The college has a strong faculty, with 471 full-time teachers and dual-qualified teachers, including 90 associate senior titles or above, 38 professors and specially appointed professors, and 92 doctoral and master's degree holders. There are 18,850 full-time vocational students, full-time technical school students, and open education registered students.
