Yangquan Normal College is located in Yuguan Gate, Shangcheng, Pingding, an ancient state with beautiful scenery and a wealth of talents. It has a beautiful environment and convenient transportation. It is connected to Yuguan in the east, Liubei in the south, Guanshan in the west, and Xiacheng in the north. It has a long history and many outstanding people. Yuguan Gate here was the place where Han Xin, a famous general in the Han Dynasty, stationed his troops when he attacked the State of Zhao; it is the former site of Guanshan Academy, a popular education institution in the ancient Pingding State, a "famous state of literature"; it is the birthplace of the Pingding Middle School Special Branch, the first local party organization of the Communist Party of China in Yangquan. The school was established in March 2010 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It was formed by the merger of the former Pingding Normal School and Yangquan Education College. It is a general college at the junior college level that recruits students from all over the country. It shares the same address and office with the only special education normal school in Shanxi Province. The school is located on Shangcheng Street, Pingding County. At present, the school enrolls students from the province and 13 provinces and regions including Hebei, Shandong, and Chongqing, with 7,474 students.
