Yantai Engineering Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher vocational college sponsored by the Yantai Municipal People's Government. Its predecessor was founded in 1957. In 1990, Yantai Senior Technical School was established, which was one of the first two senior technical schools in the country to be piloted. In 2006, Yantai Engineering Vocational and Technical College was established. In 2012, the name of Yantai Technician College was added.
