1. History of Schooling Yibin Vocational and Technical College (hereinafter referred to as "the College") is a full-time comprehensive general higher vocational college organized by the Yibin Municipal People's Government and supervised by the education administrative department of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. The College was founded in 1934. Its predecessor was Yibin Junior Agricultural Vocational School. In 2002, it was formed by the merger of Sichuan Yibin Agricultural School, Yibin Agricultural Mechanization School (Yibin Industrial School) and Yibin Adult Secondary Vocational School. It has 90 years of school-running practice and historical accumulation. 2. School Characteristics The college adheres to the school motto of "Inheriting the Great Harmony and Passing on the Heavenly Craftsmanship", implements the fundamental task of cultivating morality and educating people, continuously strengthens the development concept of "student-centered, teacher-based, and outstanding teachers and students", and vigorously implements the integration of production and education and school-enterprise cooperation. It is a backbone higher vocational college in the "National Demonstration Higher Vocational College Construction Plan", an "excellent" college in the talent training level assessment of higher vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education, a "National Rural Revitalization Talent Training Quality School" of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Education, a pilot unit of the Ministry of Education's modern apprenticeship system, and a "vocational education demonstration virtual simulation training base cultivation project construction unit" of the Ministry of Education. It is a pilot construction college of the word campus, a benchmark college construction unit of the Ministry of Education for informatization, a high-quality higher vocational college in Sichuan Province, a construction unit of the Sichuan Provincial High-level Vocational School and High-level Professional Group Construction Plan Project, a pilot college for the comprehensive reform of "Three-dimensional Education" in Sichuan Province, a high-skilled talent training base in Sichuan Province, and a project-approved college for the second batch of production-education integration demonstration projects in Sichuan Province. It is also a member unit of the Southern Sichuan Vocational Education Group, a governing unit of the Southern Sichuan University Alliance, a vice-chairman unit of the Yibin Vocational Education Alliance, and a chairman unit of the Yibin Higher Vocational Education Group. It is also a pilot unit for the comprehensive reform of vocational education in Yibin. 3. School Scale In September 2023, the college will move to a new campus at No. 300 Yuhua Road, Nanxi District, with a total area of 1,480 acres and a total construction area of 554,000 square meters. There are 54 building units in total, which can meet the needs of 16,000 students. There are 15 functional departments, 2 group organizations and 11 secondary colleges, with nearly 15,000 full-time students. There are 781 teaching staff, including 588 full-time teachers, 30.8% of whom have senior professional titles, 83 doctors (including those studying), and 60% of teachers with master and doctoral degrees. 50 "dual-teacher structure" teaching teams have been established, including 1 national vocational education teacher innovation team, 3 provincial vocational education teacher teaching innovation teams, 2 provincial famous teacher studios, 3 provincial curriculum ideological and political teaching demonstration teams, 2 provincial scarce field teacher skills inheritance and innovation platforms, 1 provincial teacher education practice base, 3 municipal skill master studios, 1 national Huang Yanpei vocational education "Outstanding Principal Award", 1 provincial technical expert, and 2 "Sichuan Craftsmen". IV. Achievements of the School The college is based on serving the regional economic, social and industrial development. In accordance with the positioning of "Yibin Vocational College for Yibin" and "serving Yibin well is serving the national strategy", it strives to build a characteristic professional system that is compatible with the development of regional modern industries. There are 46 college enrollment majors, 10 national and provincial majors, and the brewing technology professional group and mechatronics technology professional group have been approved as Sichuan Province's "double high" professional group construction projects. The brewing engineering major and mechanical and electronic engineering major have been approved as undergraduate vocational education talent training reform pilot projects. 53 national and provincial courses have been established, and 11 provincial higher education teaching achievement awards have been won. The college has established a national virtual simulation training base, 4 national and provincial production training bases, 1 central financial support training base, 6 professional on-campus experimental training centers, and 207 stable off-campus training bases; 38 1+X skill appraisal sites have been established, and the total number of "1+X" certificate system pilot projects approved by the Ministry of Education in the first five batches is 67; it can carry out vocational skill level certification for 32 occupations (types of work). The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is nearly 153 million yuan. In the past three years, college students have participated in various skill competitions and cultural and sports competitions at all levels, and won 752 awards at or above the provincial level. The college is an "Advanced Unit for Employment of Graduates of Higher Education Institutions in Sichuan Province", and the employment rate of graduates remains at around 95%. V. Industry-Education Integration The college coordinates the collaborative innovation of regional vocational education, higher education, and continuing education resources, gathers a large number of leading companies in various fields such as Phoenix Satellite TV, Huawei, Baidu, Wuliangye, Sichuan Times, Huazhong CNC, and Han's Laser, promotes the integration of industry and education, and the integration of science and education, deepens school-enterprise cooperation, and establishes 8 modern industrial colleges such as New Energy Battery College, Huawei ICT College, Sichuan (Yibin) Internet College, Yibin Burning Noodle College, Metaverse Industrial College, and Clean Energy Equipment Manufacturing Industrial College, forming more than 40 key projects of industry-education integration, 2 cases were selected as typical cases of industry-education integration school-enterprise cooperation by the Ministry of Education, and 1 case was selected as a typical case of industry-education integration school-enterprise cooperation by the National Mechanical Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee. Strive for municipal support to build a "Cloud Vocational Education" platform to promote the digital transformation of vocational school governance in all directions. 6. The International Cooperation College develops in the direction of internationalization with the characteristics of "focusing on the south, promoting Lancang-Mekong, deepening Laos, and serving the industry", with small incisions to accurately serve the southern corridor of the China-Laos Railway, and build a large platform to promote the construction of the Lancang-Mekong community with a shared future. The "Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle-Lancang-Mekong Regional Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance" led by the college has become an important platform for foreign exchanges in Sichuan Province's "14th Five-Year Plan" education development plan. Create the brand of "Wine Capital Craftsmen" in China, and cooperate with Laos Babasa Technical College to build the "Wine Capital Workshop Laos Branch Center". Introduce the German mechatronics professional qualification certification system, introduce professional teaching standards, carry out teacher training, and build the Sino-German International College with the Sino-German dual system AHK mechatronics engineering Sichuan South certification base to improve the independent training capabilities of high-skilled talents on the basis of absorbing the technical standards of developed countries. Development Goals The college follows the general idea of "relocation, expansion, advancement, and upgrading" and strives to build an open development pattern of "based in Yibin, radiating to the southwest, first-class in the country, and international level", and unswervingly moves towards building a modern vocational college.
