Yinchuan Energy College is a private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It was invested and established by Ningxia Pagoda Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. in 1999 and named "Yinchuan University". In 2004, the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region officially approved the establishment of the school and named it "Yinchuan Vocational College of Science and Technology". In 2012, the Ministry of Education approved the upgrading to an ordinary undergraduate college and changed its name to "Yinchuan Energy College". In 2016, it was awarded the right to confer bachelor's degrees. In 2019, it was changed to a school under Sichuan Hope Education Industry Group Co., Ltd. The school currently has two campuses, Wangtai Campus and Binhe Campus, as well as the Min Ning Training Center and Hequan Lake Training Center. The campus covers an area of 916,800 square meters and the total building area of the school is 422,500 square meters. There are nearly 15,000 full-time students and more than 940 faculty and staff.
