Zhangjiajie Aviation Industry Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general college established in 2001 with the approval of the Hunan Provincial People's Government. The school was founded in 1979 and has been successively affiliated to the former Ministry of Aviation Industry, the Ministry of Aerospace Industry, the Aviation Industry Corporation, the Hunan Provincial Defense Science and Technology Industry Bureau, the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and is now affiliated to the Hunan Provincial Department of Education.
