Zhejiang Automotive Vocational and Technical College was developed from the private Zhejiang Economic Management College, the first school founded by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group in 1997. It is now jointly run by Linhai Municipal People's Government and Geely Holding Group. It is a full-time private general higher vocational college. For more than 20 years, the school has always adhered to the school-running purpose of "entering the campus is to better enter the society", with the goal of creating a national first-class automotive vocational college that matches the Geely brand, is full of vitality and distinctive, and constantly strives for innovation and development. With the educational concept of "adhering to the integration of production and education, the integration of school and enterprise, the combination of work and study, and the unity of knowledge and action, so that every student can have the opportunity to shine in life", with "three good, two strong and one excellent" as the training goal, following the school motto of "virtue and skills, self-improvement", based on the automobile industry, relying on the leapfrog development of Geely Group, with the automobile industry chain major as the feature, serving the economic development of Zhejiang and Taizhou region, and cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents in production, construction, management and service required by enterprises. So far, the college has opened five major categories of majors, including transportation, equipment manufacturing, electronic information, finance and trade, and news communication. It has established four major groups with core majors, including automobile inspection and maintenance, automobile manufacturing and technology, and new energy vehicles, with a total of 21 majors and more than 6,000 students. Among them, four majors, including automobile inspection and maintenance technology, automobile manufacturing and assembly technology, automotive electronics technology, and automobile marketing and service, are the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" advantage and characteristic professional construction projects of Zhejiang universities. The automobile inspection and maintenance professional group and the new energy automobile inspection and maintenance technology professional group are high-level professional group construction projects in Taizhou City. Three training bases, including automobile inspection and maintenance and automobile electronics technology training base, are provincial demonstration training base construction projects. It is the second batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units in Zhejiang Province, the "Best School-Enterprise Cooperation Unit" and "Outstanding Contribution Unit" of Geely Automobile Group, and has won the Talent Training Innovation Award for Private Vocational Colleges. The school takes strengthening high-level party building to lead the high-quality development of the school as the core, and takes connotative high-quality development as the goal. Relying on Geely Group, the school gives full play to the advantages of enterprise-run schools, and continuously improves the system and mechanism of "integrated school, integrated sports, integrated employment, and integrated development" of industry-education integration and school-enterprise integration, and continuously increases investment to improve quality and efficiency, actively improves software and hardware teaching conditions, actively optimizes the internal governance system, innovates the school-school-enterprise cooperation model, and explores talent training reform. The school has built an ecosystem prototype in which industry and teaching support each other and enterprises and schools develop together. It has formed a vocational education development path characterized by "integration of industry and education, integration of school and enterprise, and education by post". Relying on Geely and its subsidiaries, the school vigorously carries out industry-education integration, school-enterprise cooperation, and cooperates to build eight training centers. Among them, the Automobile Training Center is a demonstration training base for higher vocational colleges in Zhejiang Province, and has been confirmed by the Ministry of Education as a vocational education training base supported by the central government. Backed by Geely's industrial advantages, the school adheres to the integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation, and the combination of work and study, as well as the unity of knowledge and practice in talent training. The school also hired many senior experts, middle and senior engineering and technical personnel, and management cadres from Geely Automobile Research Institute and Geely's various production bases as part-time teachers of the school, making full use of school-enterprise education resources, and in accordance with enterprise job standards, connecting professional settings with industrial needs, course content with job standards, and teaching processes with production processes. Implementing dual education between schools and enterprises has cultivated a large number of talents for enterprises related to the automotive industry chain.
