Zhengzhou Vocational College of Commerce & Tourism, referred to as "Zhengzhou Vocational College of Commerce & Tourism", is a private higher vocational college approved by the Henan Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. The school takes "virtue, erudition, and constant progress" as its motto. It is a full-time comprehensive general higher vocational college that integrates science and technology, commerce, art, finance, and tourism, and has the qualification to independently issue national higher education diplomas. It is included in the national unified enrollment plan and enrolls students nationwide. It has won the title of one of the top 100 private schools in the country. It is a standing director unit of the China Tourism Education Association, a director unit of the Henan Tourism Association, the Henan Tourism Education Association, the Henan Private Education Association, and a director unit of related education groups. In 2018, our school was rated as a provincial characteristic school; in 2019, it was approved by the Development Planning and Construction Center of the Ministry of Education as the only artificial intelligence college in our province. The school is located in the center of the Greater Central Plains Economic Zone, the national transportation hub center, the international financial, trade, tourism and technology city, that is, the national central city, Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. The Central Plains region has a long history, outstanding people, rich cultural landscapes, and a strong atmosphere of trade, technology and art. It has laid a solid foundation for cultivating compound and applied talents in trade and tourism, and also provided a solid guarantee for the high-quality employment of our students. The school has a digital campus network covering the entire school, with first-class academic lecture halls, artificial intelligence training rooms, aircraft simulation training cabins, recording and broadcasting classrooms, libraries, plastic sports fields, suspended floor basketball courts, swimming pools, simulated presidential suites, VIP rooms, thousand-person halls, internship hotels, and badminton courts. There are currently 6 secondary colleges and two teaching departments: College of Commerce and Technology, College of Humanities and Tourism, College of Artificial Intelligence, College of Civil Engineering, College of Emergency Management, and College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; Department of Ideological and Political Education and Department of Public Physical Education, as well as a technical secondary school department and a continuing education college. At present, the school has two campuses, Zhengzhou Campus and Xinmi Campus, with a total area of 1,070.06 acres and a building area of 164,214 square meters. There are currently 11,553 students and 5,035 adult education students. There are 624 full-time teachers, 182 postgraduates and above, and 136 off-campus teachers. The teaching and scientific research equipment is worth 45.9058 million yuan, and the library has a collection of more than 1 million books. The Zhengzhou campus is located at No. 347, Jianshe West Road, Zhongyuan District, covering an area of 170.06 acres and a building area of 64,214 square meters. The Xinmi Campus is a 20-minute drive from the Zhengzhou Campus. It is located at No. 1 Weilai Road, Xinmi City. The planned area is 1,500 acres, the first phase plans to cover an area of 900 acres, and the existing building area is more than 60,000 square meters. In May 2021, the construction of the Xinmi Campus was approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission as a provincial key construction project, and a large-scale expansion has been started. The school insists on running schools with open doors. For more than ten years, it has cooperated deeply with more than 20 large companies such as Huawei, Danai, Oracle, 863, Sofitel, Marriott, and Sheraton. With the school-running policy of "industry-education integration, school-enterprise cooperation, combination of work and study, and unity of knowledge and action", and the online field teaching and apprenticeship model, it conducts in-depth exploration of vocational education.
