Zhengzhou Vocational and Technical College is a public higher vocational college organized by the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government and recruiting students from all over the country. Founded in 1976, the college is a national high-skilled talent training base, a national CNC technology application training base for scarce talents, a Henan vocational education brand demonstration college, a Henan high-quality higher vocational college construction project unit, a Henan college "three-dimensional education" comprehensive reform pilot unit, "Henan Province High-level Vocational School and High-level Professional Construction Project" construction unit, "Zhengzhou Industry-Education Integration Innovation Pilot College". The college is located in Zhengzhou, a historical and cultural city, a national central city, and the capital of Henan Province, covering an area of 1,602 acres. The campus environment is pleasant, evergreen all year round, and the green area of the campus is 63%. It has been rated as a garden unit in Henan Province and is an ideal place for students to study. The college currently has 17,760 full-time ordinary junior college students. It has 15 secondary colleges, including the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, the School of Automation and Internet of Things, the School of Life and Health, and the School of Finance and Finance. It offers 59 majors, including pharmaceutical biotechnology and Internet of Things application technology, and has built 10 professional groups, including pharmaceutical biotechnology and material engineering technology. The college currently has 998 full-time teachers, with a student-teacher ratio of 16.46:1. Among the full-time teachers, 330 teachers have senior professional and technical positions, accounting for 33.07%, including 63 senior teachers; 693 teachers have postgraduate degrees, accounting for 69.44%. Among the full-time professional course teachers, 584 "double-qualified" teachers have more than three years of work experience in enterprises, or have accumulated no less than 6 months of practical experience in enterprises or production lines in the past five years, accounting for 73.09%; 201 teachers have work experience in enterprises, accounting for 25.16%. There are 264 part-time teachers from the front line of industry and enterprises, accounting for 26.45% of the full-time teachers; the teaching hours of professional courses account for 22.05% of the total professional course hours of the school. The student counselors are all members of the Communist Party of China and graduated from full-time master's degree programs. There are currently 2 experts with special allowances from the State Council, 2 leading talents in scientific and technological innovation of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Plan", 1 national teaching master, and 2 "Zhongyuan Scholars". There are 3 provincial and municipal master studios and 6 provincial and municipal teaching innovation teams. The total value of the college's teaching and scientific research equipment is 247 million yuan, with an average of 15,081.08 yuan per student. There are 5 industrial colleges such as Life and Health, Huazhong CNC Robot, 5 industry-education integration bases such as Zhengzhou Vocational College-Huawei IT, Zhengzhou Vocational College-Hikvision Virtual Reality, and 6 innovative practice platforms such as the Henan Engineering Laboratory for Quantitative Detection of Biomarkers. The college currently has 138 internship and training sites on campus. There are 3 national-level training bases (centers) including the Industrial 4.0 Smart Factory Production Training Base, the Zhengzhou National High-tech Industrial Base Public Experimental Center, and the National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Antibody Drug Development Technology; 7 provincial-level training bases (centers) including the Henan Intelligent Manufacturing Public Training Base, the Power Supply and Use Equipment Production Training Base, and the Antibody Drug Henan Engineering Laboratory; 4 municipal-level training bases (laboratories) including the Zhengzhou Pharmaceutical Production Technology Demonstration Training Base, the Zhengzhou Software Technology Demonstration Training Base, and the Zhengzhou CNC Key Laboratory. 356 off-campus internship and training and on-the-job internship bases have been jointly established with 267 well-known companies.
