Zhoukou Normal University is a general undergraduate university in Henan Province, located in the historical and cultural city of Zhoukou. Zhoukou is known as the "pioneer of China and the holy site of Kyushu". Taihao Fuxi built his capital here, the ancient thinker Laozi was born here, Confucius asked for the Tao and studied here, and Xie An, Zhou Xingsi, Cheng Hao, Yuan Shikai and others are all historical and cultural celebrities in Zhoukou. The school was founded in 1973 and was upgraded to an undergraduate college in 2002 with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
