History: Founded on November 24, 2008 in Assomada, Santiago Island, Cape Verde. On March 25, 2014, its charter was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Cape Verde and published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cape Verde on May 20.
School Strength
Curriculum: In 2013, it offered 19 undergraduate courses and 7 master's courses, as well as training courses such as multimedia development, electromechanical research, solar energy systems, and rural tourism and ecology.
Academic Research: In 2013, the Institute of Research and Development (IPED) was established to promote scientific research and development, and academic journals such as "Lan Tuna - Revista Cabo - Verdiana de Educação, Filosofia e Letras", "Revista Jurídica da Universidade de Santiago", and "Revista Cabo Verdiana das Ciências Sociais" were published.
