Introduction

Tomas Bata University is a public non-profit university located in Zlín, Czech Republic. It was founded in 2001 and is one of the younger universities in the Czech Republic, but has developed into a higher education institution with a certain influence in the country and internationally.

History

Its origins can be traced back to the Technical College established in Zlín in 1969. The college was originally a vocational college established for the Svet factory and was successively affiliated with the Bratislava University of Technology and the Brno University of Technology.

In the 1990s, a proposal to establish Tomas Bata University was put forward, and the School of Management and Economics, the Institute of Advertising and Marketing Communications, etc. were successively established.

November 14, 2000 On 2001, the then Czech President Vaclav Havel signed the bill to establish Tomas Bata University, and the university was officially established on January 1, 2001.

Since then, the School of Multimedia Communications, the School of Applied Information, the School of Humanities, the School of Logistics and Crisis Management, etc. have been established one after another.
