The University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno is the only public university in the Czech Republic that focuses on education and research in veterinary medicine, pharmacy and related fields. In 2020, its School of Pharmacy was transferred to Masaryk University, and in 2021 the word "Pharmacy" was removed from the university's name.
