Introduction
Carl Maria von Weber College of Music, located in Dresden, Saxony, Germany, is one of the oldest music colleges in Germany and is famous for its excellent music education, rich professional courses and close artistic practice cooperation.

The college was founded on February 1, 1856, at the suggestion of Francesco Morazzi, Carl Maria von Weber and Richard Wagner. It was originally a private music college. It was sponsored by the royal family from 1881 to 1918, and became a public school in 1937. In 1959, it was renamed the National Academy of Music. After 1900, it was named after the musician von Weber.
