Location: The college is located in the Nass River Building in Tallaght, Dublin 24, and Ballinasloe, County Galway.

College Mission

The mission of the college is to provide vocational and professional education and training for ambulance and related personnel based on current best practices to meet the strategic and operational needs of the National Ambulance Service and the medical communities and patients it serves.

Training Targets and Course Settings

Training Targets: Provide training for all new recruits to the National Ambulance Service, including emergency medical technicians, intermediate care operators, senior paramedics, emergency call takers, emergency medical dispatchers, etc., and also provide relevant training for the Irish Coast Guard, the National Defense Force, the Irish Police Force, healthcare professionals and members of voluntary organizations.

Course Content: The course covers a wide range of courses, including patient care projects, leadership courses, mentor training, major accident planning and preparation, and driving courses , whose core courses are certified by the Pre-hospital Emergency Care Committee according to the education and training standards.

Teaching resources and facilities

The college is equipped with the latest training aids and simulators, which can provide consistent and comprehensive training for all employees, ensuring the stability and reliability of training quality and results.

The college has established a cooperative relationship with the University College of Medicine, Cork, and jointly carries out courses such as the nursing program.
