Basic Introduction

Established in 1984.

Historical evolution: In 1984, it was established according to the Moi University Act of the Kenyan Parliament. Initially, it only had a forestry department with 83 students. In 1996, the school established a medical school, becoming the second university in the country to establish a medical school.
