Introduction to the University of Eldoret:

Introduction: The University of Eldoret is an important institution of higher learning in Kenya, committed to providing high-quality education through teaching, research and innovation, and providing students with knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the challenges of society and the workplace.

History and establishment:

Established in 1946 by white settlers as a large farmer training center.

In 1984, it was transformed into a teacher training college and renamed Moi Teacher Training College, offering a science teacher training diploma.

In 1990, it was taken over by Moi University as a campus due to enrollment issues and renamed Chepkoilele Campus.

In August 2010, it was upgraded to a university college, named Chepkoilele University College, and is a constituent college of Moi University.

In March 2013, it was granted a charter by the President and renamed the University of Eldoret.

Student Size: More than 25,000 undergraduates and more than 8,000 postgraduates.

Course Setting: Provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses at multiple levels, covering agriculture, business, education, engineering and other fields.
