Eduardo Mondlane University is the oldest and largest public university in Mozambique, located in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique.

History

After Mozambique's independence in 1975, the university was renamed after Eduardo Mondlane, the first chairman of the Mozambique Liberation Front Party in 1976.
