The University of Belgrade is one of the oldest and most important institutions of higher education in Serbia and one of the largest universities in the Balkans. The school's headquarters building is located in the center of Belgrade, and the colleges are distributed in various districts of the capital.
History and Founding Time
Founded in 1808, it was originally a high school. In 1838, it merged with other departments in Kragujevac to become a university, and became a modern university in 1905.
