Introduction
The University of Liechtenstein is the only public university in Liechtenstein, located in Vaduz, the capital of the country. Its main research areas are architecture and business economics. In 2008, it obtained university status and was authorized to award doctoral degrees according to the Bologna Process. In November 2010, the Liechtenstein Parliament passed the Liechtenstein University Act, which officially came into effect on February 1, 2011.
