Introduction and Overview
Videme University of Applied Sciences is located in Valmiera, the capital of Vidzeme Region in northeastern Latvia. It is a higher education institution that provides undergraduate and postgraduate education. History and Establishment
The school was founded in 1996 as a regional university. It was upgraded to a national university in 2001. In 2004, it began to launch two master's degree programs. In October 2013, it won the "Green Flag" award and became the first higher education institution in the Baltic countries to obtain the status of an international ecological university.
