History and establishment time

Founded in 1918, its predecessor was the Department of Chemistry of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Polytechnic Institute. In 1930, the Polytechnic Institute was split and became the independent Ivanovo Institute of Chemical Technology. In 1992, it was renamed Ivanovo State Institute of Chemical Technology. In 1998, it was renamed Ivanovo State Institute of Chemical Technology. In 2011, it was finally named Ivanovo State University of Chemical Technology.
