Kazan State Power Engineering University is located in the center of Kazan, Russia, adjacent to the Kazan Kremlin and the Volga River. It is the first modern energy and power university in the Volga River region and a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

History and establishment time
The school was founded in 1897 as the Kazan Industrial School. In the same year, the thermal power plant designed by the school began to operate. On July 18, 1968, the school officially became an energy professional university. After several name changes and developments, it was established on October 18, 2000. It was renamed Kazan State Power Engineering University.
