Introduction to Kaliningrad State Technical University
Kaliningrad State Technical University is one of the largest fishery economic colleges in Russia and a leading engineering and technical university. It is located in Kaliningrad Oblast and has achieved remarkable educational results in fisheries, engineering and other fields.
Overview
The university has 6,700 students, including 376 international students, 600 faculty and staff, and provides undergraduate, master's and doctoral education courses.
History and establishment time
In 1930, its predecessor, the Moscow Fisheries and Economics Institute, was established. In 1958, the Fisheries Technical Institute moved to Kaliningrad. In 1959, it was renamed the Kaliningrad Fisheries and Economic Technology Institute. In 1994, it was officially called the Kaliningrad State Technical University.
School strength
Faculty: 600 teachers and researchers, including 75 professors with doctoral degrees, and 80 are academicians and corresponding members of the International and Russian Academy of Sciences.
Scientific research results: Participated in 25 federal scientific programs as well as Tempus and Tacis Project, with fruitful scientific research results in marine biological resources, information technology, ship engineering and other fields, and professors and scholars have won internationally renowned awards.
