Introduction to Ural State Pedagogical University

Located in Yekaterinburg, Russia, Ural State Pedagogical University is the largest and oldest pedagogical university in the Ural region and one of the famous higher pedagogical colleges in the Russian Federation.

The university has more than 500 faculty and staff members, a total of more than 32,000 students, and international students from more than 70 countries. It has 10 secondary colleges, 61 undergraduate majors, 30 master's majors, and 29 doctoral majors.

History and establishment time

Founded in 1930, it was developed on the site of the Sverdlovsk State Pedagogical College. In 1932, it was renamed Ural Pedagogical College. In 1993, it became one of the first universities in the Russian Federation to introduce a multi-level higher education system.
