Introduction

The Far Eastern State Medical University is located in Khabarovsk, Russia. It is the first medical university in the Russian Far East and one of the largest medical universities in the region. It was founded in 1930.

Overview

The university has more than 500 faculty and staff members and about 3,500 students, including about 120 international students. It has 6 faculties, 6 specialist majors, 2 undergraduate majors, 66 residency majors, 45 doctoral majors and 12 academic schools.

History

Established in 1930, its medical department has been training "general medicine" experts since 1930 and welcomed its first graduates in 1935. The pediatric department was established in 1958. The school has won the sixth championship of the Russian "Health University" competition and other honors.

Faculty: It has 475 outstanding lecturers, including 2 corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, 9 honorary doctors, 64 doctors of medicine and 259 tutors with degrees.

Teaching facilities: Theoretical teaching is carried out in 3 teaching buildings, 61 medical teaching and research rooms are equipped with personal computers, the school also has a network of more than 500 modern computers and a scientific library with more than 610,000 books.

Practical teaching: Students' practical learning is carried out in 25 clinical departments and 150 clinical locations. The school also has two clinics and a multidisciplinary certification and simulation center.

Scientific research achievements: 72 scientific research centers have been built, and scientific research activities of 41 research centers and 4 clinical practice subjects are carried out based on 117 hospitals and scientific research institutions.

Some majors such as clinical medicine and pediatrics are about 23,000 yuan per year, dentistry is about 24,000 yuan per year, pharmacy is about 19,000 yuan per year, and medical biochemistry is about 23,000 yuan per year. The average living expenses are 3,000-5,000 yuan per year.

Campus environment
