Introduction to Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture
Founded in 1931, Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture is a higher vocational education institution in the Russian Federation that focuses on training sports talents. It is also a key sports institution in Russia.
Overview
The school is located in the Malakhovka ecological zone in Moscow, covering an area of 11.4 hectares. It has more than 600 faculty and staff, and students and graduates have repeatedly won outstanding results in major events such as the Olympic Games.
History and establishment time
On October 16, 1929, the Central Committee of the All-Russian Communist Party of Bolsheviks passed a resolution to improve the current situation of physical education. In May 1931, the Moscow Regional Executive Committee and the Ministry of National Education organized a sports department at the Teacher Training College. After several changes, it was officially renamed the Moscow State Institute of Physical Education in 1994.
School Strength
Teaching Staff: 21 doctoral students, 34 graduate students, 31 professors, 52 associate professors and 19 former world champions.
Teaching Achievements: Students and graduates have won more than 1,269 medals in the Olympics, World Championships and European Championships, and have cultivated many outstanding talents, such as the former president of Shanghai Institute of Physical Education in my country and the Minister of Sports of Turkey.
