Introduction to Kazan State Conservatory
The Kazan State Conservatory is a higher music education institution located in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. It is the third largest higher music institution in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg. In 2000, it was named the Tikhanov Kazan State Conservatory.
Overview
The conservatory has 25 professors, 36 associate professors, and about 600 students, including international students from the United States, Japan, South Korea, and China. Covering an area of 12,816 square meters, it is located in the central square of Kazan. There are three concert halls on campus, as well as one of the largest music libraries in Russia, with a collection of about 450,000 books, as well as listening rooms, recording studios, computer centers and printing houses.
History and establishment time
Founded in 1945 by Soviet Tatar composer Nagib Tikhanov, who served as the first dean from 1945 to 1988.

Among the 190 teachers, there are 12 academicians, 35 professors, 32 associate doctors, 50 associate professors, 32 people have won the honorary title of Russia, 89 people have won the honorary title of the Republic of Kazan, and 77 teachers have won awards in international and all-Russian competitions.
Teaching achievements: It has trained many outstanding talents, such as the world-renowned composer Sofia Gubaidulina, jazz musician Oleg Lundstrum, etc., 150 students, postgraduates and graduates have won awards in international competitions.
