Federico II University of Naples is located in Naples, Italy. It is a national comprehensive research university with a long history and a high reputation. History

In the 20th century, the school faced many difficulties during the fascist period and World War II. The headquarters was set on fire by the German army and the laboratory was requisitioned by the Allies.

On September 7, 1978, the university was officially named after the founder.
