The Medical College of Tirana is a non-profit public higher medical education institution located in Tirana, Albania, offering courses in medicine and health-related majors at different levels, including bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.
History and Establishment
Its history can be traced back to the establishment of the Higher Medical College of Albania in 1952. In 1957, the Higher Medical College and five other higher education institutions formed the National University of Tirana, at which time the School of Medicine was established. On January 23, 2013, the School of Medicine was separated from the University of Tirana and promoted to a university, namely the Medical College of Tirana.
