Detailed introduction of the University of Buea:

Introduction: The University of Buea is the most famous and largest university in the English-speaking region of Cameroon. It is located in Buea, the capital of the Southwest Province of Cameroon. It is one of the most well-planned and fastest-growing institutions of higher learning in Cameroon, with the motto of "Knowledge and Wisdom".

Overview: It provides bilingual teaching in French and English, and offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs in more than 80 disciplines. It has 650 full-time lecturers, 200 part-time lecturers and more than 33,000 students.

History: Its history can be traced back to the Higher School of Translation and Interpretation (ASTI) established in 1979. In 1985, ASTI was renamed the University Center of Buea (CUB). In 1992, it was reorganized into Cameroon State University according to government decree, and officially became the University of Buea in 1993.

Research achievements: The Center for Drug Research (UB-CEDD) was established in 2022 and has been expanded to five key laboratories. International cooperation: Cooperation has been reached with more than 40 universities from Africa, Europe and North America. In 2019, the Department of Science, Technology and Engineering received two academic grants from the European Union.
