Shandong Electronic Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public general higher vocational college organized by the People's Government of Shandong Province. It is located in the historical and cultural city of Jinan. The predecessor of the school was the Shandong Electronic Industry School founded in 1978. In 2004, it was upgraded to Shandong Electronic Vocational and Technical College with the approval of the Shandong Provincial People's Government. The school is under the dual leadership and management of the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Shandong Provincial Department of Education. The school is a national "high-skilled talent training base for the electronic information industry" and a "skilled talent training school in the field of computer application and software technology" of the Ministry of Education. It has successively won the honors of "National Advanced Unit of Vocational and Technical Education", "National Advanced School for Vocational and Technical Schools' Career Guidance Work", "National Advanced Collective of the Information Industry System", "Advanced Collective of Teaching Management of Higher Education Institutions in Shandong Province", "Advanced Unit of Student Aid Work in Shandong Province", etc., and has maintained the title of provincial civilized unit for 19 consecutive years. The school has two campuses in Zhangqiu and Heping, with 10,606 full-time higher vocational students.
