Heilongjiang Tourism Vocational and Technical College is the only public higher vocational college in the province approved by the provincial government and registered by the Ministry of Education. It is affiliated to the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Commerce and is a public welfare second-class institution. It mainly undertakes the work of higher vocational and technical education, secondary vocational education and adult higher education at the junior college level; undertakes the examination of dispatched labor personnel and related social services; undertakes the education and training of practitioners in the tourism and commerce industries in the province, vocational skills appraisal, vocational qualifications and grade examinations and other related organization and service work. The college is a "double-high" higher vocational college in Heilongjiang, a demonstration base for school-enterprise cooperation in tourism vocational education, a training base for high-skilled talents in Heilongjiang Province, a training and examination base for tour guides in Heilongjiang Province, a training base for key teachers in secondary vocational education, a training base for foreign aid officials of the Ministry of Commerce, a base for the vocational skills competition of secondary and higher vocational education in Heilongjiang Province, a training base for service outsourcing talents of the Ministry of Commerce, a base for the corresponding further study and examination of secondary vocational graduates in Heilongjiang, a training base for digital business talents in Heilongjiang Province, the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units in Heilongjiang Province and a top 100 school in the country with a "double-qualified" teacher ratio. The college currently has 13 secondary colleges and departments, including the College of Tourism Industry Development, the College of Hotel Management, the College of Catering Management, the College of Finance and Economics, the College of Health Care Industry, the College of Information Technology and Art Design, the College of Transportation Management, the College of International Business, the College of Rural Revitalization Industry, the College of E-commerce, the College of Secondary Vocational Education, the College of Continuing Education, and the Department of Ideological and Political Education. There are 35 enrollment majors, of which the two major groups of tourism management and digital business are provincial high-level majors, and the majors of tourism management and hotel management and digital operations are majors supported by the central government for the construction of higher vocational colleges and provincial high-level majors. Chinese and Western pastry crafts and food inspection and testing technology are provincial modern apprenticeship pilot majors. The tourism management major opened by the college and Harbin University of Commerce is the only tourism-related pilot major in the province. The college adheres to the application-oriented, characteristic, and open-style school-running model, faces the domestic and international education frontiers and the major strategic needs of the country, and strives to strengthen professional construction, expand exchanges between China and foreign countries, and realize school-enterprise linkage. It has formed a professional overall layout with the dual-core development of "tourism" and "economy and trade" and the support of information technology and big data, and has embarked on a characteristic school-running path of "dual-track parallel" vocational education and social training. The college took the lead in establishing the "Longyue Vocational Education Collaborative Development Alliance" and served as the chairman unit. It co-founded the "Longyue Vocational Education Experimental Class" with Guangdong Vocational College of Science and Technology, which pioneered the cooperation between Longyue and vocational education, and played a demonstration and leading role in the field of vocational education in the province and even the whole country. The college is based on regional development planning and actively plays its social service function. It has successively undertaken various teacher capacity improvement and professional skills training projects in the province, with a total of more than 20,000 participants, and strived to lay a solid talent guarantee for the construction of "Six Longjiang". The college actively promotes cooperation and exchanges along the "Belt and Road" and has successively established cooperation with South Korea, Japan, Russia, the United States, Finland, and Australia. The college has established cultural exchanges and training cooperation relationships with teachers and students in many countries and regions such as Argentina and Chile. It has hosted 18 training courses for foreign aid officials from the Ministry of Commerce. More than 600 government officials and university teachers from more than 60 countries have come to China to learn about Chinese civilization. The college actively explores a new model of industry-education integration with the coordinated development of governments, industrial parks, enterprises, and colleges. It has carried out college-county cooperation with 11 prefectures, cities (counties), including the Daxinganling Prefecture Administrative Office and Wudalianchi City. It took the lead in establishing the Heilongjiang Provincial Home Service and Elderly Care Vocational Education Group and the Heilongjiang Provincial Commerce, Trade and Tourism Vocational Education Group. It actively participated in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, hosted the Heilongjiang Province Macao Labor Cooperation Promotion Conference, and 100 More than 100 students have gone to Macau to achieve high-paying and high-end employment for students from higher vocational colleges.
