Changji Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time general higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of the Autonomous Region in June 2001 and registered by the Ministry of Education of China. The college is located in Changji City, the economic belt of the northern slope of Tianshan Mountain in Xinjiang and the golden ancient road of the ancient Silk Road, with convenient transportation and beautiful environment. At present, it has two campuses: the new campus located in Changji National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and the branch campus on Yan'an Road in Changji City. The college covers a total area of 981 acres and a building area of 315,000 square meters. There are more than 17,000 students in the college. There are 697 faculty and staff, including 562 full-time teachers, 137 professors and associate professors, 217 postgraduates, and 226 dual-qualified teachers. Since 2010, the college has trained more than 30,000 graduates in various disciplines, of which more than 7,000 have been employed in various counties and cities in Changji Prefecture.
