Sandhills Community College is a public community college located in Pinehurst, North Carolina, United States, and is part of the North Carolina Community College System. The campus is located in a small town with a total enrollment of approximately 3,990 students. The school adopts a semester-based academic calendar.
History and Founding
The school was chartered in 1963 and officially opened on October 1, 1965. It was the first comprehensive community college authorized and established by the North Carolina State Legislature in 1963.
