History and establishment time

Its history can be traced back to 1880, when the YMCA opened free courses for Cleveland students who could not receive higher education. In 1906, it was recognized as an "Association College" and later renamed Finn College. In 1964, the Ohio government established Ohio State University, and merged with the then-established Finn College in September of the following year. In 1969, it merged with the Cleveland Marshall Law School established in 1897, and finally named it Cleveland State University.
