History and establishment time
In 1964, local residents began to consider establishing a community college in Lake County. In 1965, the proposal was voted on throughout the county, and the relevant tax bill was passed in 1967. In the same year, classes began to be held at different locations in Painesville. In 1968, the college purchased a permanent campus in Kiltland and opened classes there in 1971.
