Introduction and Overview
The Modern College of Design is located in Kettering, Ohio, USA. It is a private for-profit college focusing on the design field, offering associate degrees and related courses in graphic design, user experience design, motion graphics and video design.
History and Establishment
Founded by advertising artist Tim Porter in 1983, it was formerly known as the School of Advertising Art. It began teaching in 1984, and the first class graduated in 1986. In 1999, a new campus was established on East David Road in Kettering. In 2000, it began to award an associate degree in applied business in advertising art. In 2018, it was renamed the Modern College of Design.
