Portland Community College is located in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1961, it is the largest institution of higher learning in the state. The following is a detailed introduction:
Student size and composition
In the 2021-2022 academic year, the school enrolled more than 50,000 full-time and part-time students, of which 40% were full-time students and 60% were part-time students. In 2006-2007, more than 86,164 students studied here, of which 58% were female and 42% were male.
Academic Courses
The college offers hundreds of academic courses covering arts, humanities, communications and design, business and entrepreneurship, architecture, manufacturing technology and transportation, health care and emergency, public service, education and social sciences, science, technology, engineering and mathematics, etc., which can award degrees and certificates, including one semester to two years of vocational and technical education.

Campus Distribution
The college has four main campuses, including the Sylvania Campus opened in 1968, the Rock Creek Campus opened in 1976, the Cascade Campus opened in 1971, and the Cascade Campus opened in 2014. The Southeast Campus, which was upgraded in the fall of 2017, also has several centers in the Portland metropolitan area, such as the Willow Creek Center and the Hillsboro Center.
Sports and Clubs
The college's sports teams are called the Panthers and compete in the Northwest Athletic Conference. The men's and women's basketball teams compete with teams from other community colleges. In addition, the college has 3 student-led drama performances each year.
Tuition and Aid
The cost of an education at PCC is about 50% of that of a public university in Oregon and 10% of that of a private university. 66% of students receive financial aid each year, and 1,600 students receive college scholarships.
