Campus Overview
Location: Located in the town of DuBois in north-central Pennsylvania, it is located in a rural area and is about 75 minutes' drive from the main campus of Pennsylvania State University, University Park.

History
The campus was founded in 1935 as the Du Bois Center of Pennsylvania State College. At that time, courses were offered in the Hubert Street School with only 4 full-time teachers and 1 part-time teacher.
In 1937, the Du Bois School Board and the family of city founder John E. Du Bois donated a 4-acre campus, including the original Du Bois family mansion and stables.
In February 1938, after extensive renovations, classes began to be held in the mansion.
In 1942, the syllabus of the standard undergraduate curriculum was expanded to include "accelerated courses" in the summer semester and night adult courses to train defense experts for World War II.
1945 In 1959, the Du Bois Educational Foundation was established to raise funds for campus development.
In 1959, Pennsylvania State University officially integrated its "center" into a "common campus", and the "Du Bois Undergraduate Center" officially became the Du Bois Campus.
